We've teamed up with ActivKids to help schools raise money to fund Rocktopus workshops!
ActivKids UK will arrange for a Team GB or Olympic athlete to visit your school and lead your children through a sponsored fitness circuit followed by an inspirational assembly where they will talk about their career as well as discuss the importance of healthy eating, fitness and mental health.
They've raised over £100,000 for schools in the last year alone, helping them to deliver exciting experiences for their children. Now they can help you raise money to get Rocktopus into your school!
If you decide to fund your workshop via ActivKids, Rocktopus will take a further £100 off the cost of your workshop!
How does It work?
Children are sponsored to compete in an exciting and challenging fitness circuit with a famous athlete. The children ask close family or friends for sponsorship, ensuring that parents/ family friends only donate what they can afford. When the big day comes, the children complete the fitness circuit with the athlete in order to claim the sponsorship money.
Every child involved gets a thank you prize as well as the chance to win additional prizes. Once the challenge is complete, the children return to the hall for an inspirational assembly led by the athlete.

Organising this couldn't be easier! Just follow these steps.
Step 1:
Contact Rocktopus and let them know you're interested in funding the workshop via the ActivKids funding route. Rocktopus will send you an email with all the information you need to know.
Choose a date for your Rocktopus workshop that is at least 10 weeks away. This will make sure that ActivKids have enough time to be able to organise the sponsored fitness event in your school.

Step 2:
If you decide to go ahead, tell Rocktopus what date you'd like your Rocktopus workshop day, which must be at least 10 weeks away from the date of booking. Rocktopus will then send you a booking form and an invoice for a deposit of £200. The deposit is to confirm the workshop and the money can be reimbursed to the school once the sponsorship money from the ActivKids event has been collected.

Step 3:
Rocktopus will put you in touch with ActivKids who will arrange a phone call with you to book your athlete visit and talk through the fundraising process.
FAQs
What happens to the sponsorship money?
Firstly, a small admin fee is taken from the sponsorship money by ActivKids UK. Everything raised above that admin fee is split 70/30 between the school and the ActivKids UK athlete fund. 70% is to be used by the school to pay the balance of your Rocktopus Workshop Day, with anything above the cost going back to the school to use as you see fit. The other 30% goes into the ActivKids UK athlete fund which helps their unsponsored athletes to train, fund competitions and help them on their journey to the next Olympics.

What if we don't raise enough money?
If the school doesn't raise enough money to pay the full Rocktopus fee from sponsorship, the remainder of the workshop and travel fee will need to be paid from the school budget. However, following your fundraising event, if you have not raised enough money to cover the cost of your Rocktopus Workshop Day, Rocktopus will give you the option to cancel your Workshop Day. The £200 deposit, however, is non-refundable.
